These terms apply to the Talbiya app and this website, published by Cresentrix Solutions, India (“we”). By using Talbiya you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The app

Talbiya is a free companion for daily worship, Umrah and Hajj. It has no ads, no paid features and no accounts. We may improve, change or stop any feature at any time.

2. A companion, not a religious authority

Talbiya provides general guidance only. Its content has not yet been fully reviewed by scholars, and schools of thought differ on many points. It is not a fatwa or a ruling. For any matter of worship, follow your group’s official guidance and a qualified scholar.

3. Accuracy

We work hard to keep Talbiya correct, but we cannot guarantee it is accurate, complete or available at all times. In particular:

  • Prayer times are calculated on your phone with a standard method. Your local mosque or authority may use a different method or adjustment; follow them where they differ.
  • Hijri dates follow a calendar and may differ by a day from your local moon sighting.
  • The qibla compass relies on your phone’s sensors, which metal, magnets and electronics can disturb. Confirm the direction locally when in doubt.
  • Reminders depend on your phone’s settings, battery saving and sound settings, and may be late or silent.
  • The Zakat calculator is a guide. Confirm your zakat with a scholar or a trusted zakat organisation.
  • Travel and health: pilgrimage guidance in the app does not replace the instructions of the Saudi authorities, your group or your doctor.
  • The emergency card helps others contact your helper. It is not an emergency service; in an emergency, contact the local authorities.

4. Your information

Your information stays on your phone. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.

5. Other services

Some features use services run by others: EveryAyah.com for recitation, OpenStreetMap for mosques, Open-Meteo for widget weather, your maps app for directions, and the app stores. Their own terms apply, and we are not responsible for their availability or content.

6. Content and licences

  • The Qur’an text is from the Tanzil Project (CC BY 3.0), shown unaltered. Translations (Saheeh International, Jan Trust Foundation, Muhammad Junagarhi) and the transliteration are from Tanzil.net, used verbatim for non-commercial use.
  • Tajweed colouring is from quran-tajweed by Collin Fair (CC BY 4.0).
  • Hadith and their translations are from HadeethEnc.com, shown verbatim with their sources.
  • The adhan recording is public domain (Internet Archive). Fonts are under the SIL Open Font License. Some icon strokes are adapted from Lucide (ISC License).
  • The Talbiya name, logo, design and original text are © Cresentrix Solutions.

7. Fair use

You may use Talbiya for your own worship and share it freely. Please do not copy and redistribute modified versions of the app, present it as an official religious ruling, or use it to break the law or harm others.

8. No warranty

Talbiya is provided free and “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Cresentrix Solutions is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, Talbiya, including missed or mistimed prayers, travel decisions or reliance on its content.

10. App stores

If you downloaded Talbiya from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and Cresentrix Solutions, not Apple or Google, and Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use Talbiya after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Puducherry have jurisdiction over any dispute.
